Christmas Rendered | Reveal | Kitchen

For our first reveal of Christmas Rendered, we will be visiting the Kitchen. What a perfect place to start our tour since the kitchen has truly taken on new meaning of "heart of the home" this year. If you are like me, you have grown to love to spend time in the kitchen this year. The whole family staying at home is new and being able to cook together has been a blessing.

So lets sit back and take a glimpse at our Christmas Rendered home's Kitchen Design!

Each week I will go through what inspired me, unique touches of the space, and the why's of my design decisions. Later on in the week there will be a #shopthelook post for each room revealed that week were you can take a look at the curated items I've included in the render!

Are you ready?

As I look back on the past few months I realize that I have been inspired by so many talented designers during my work on this kitchen, it's remarkable.

Below is only a snippet of the inspiring designers work that influenced this kitchen design.

The elegance of each of these spaces with European accents is what drawn me to each of these spaces and I hope as you enter into the Kitchen you feel the warmth and comfort you wish for this Holiday season!

Planning Stages

When I design a kitchen or a bath after I feel inspired, I go to my lifes work and start planning the design. The nitty gritty of what we all do as designers. Ensuring that the kitchen has elegance but will be an asset to the clients needs.

My process is a little different than the typical interior designer as I am an online designer but compromising on quality is not an option. You'll see each week throughout December how I present my work to my design clients and interior designer clients.

For the design of this kitchen I prioritize three things; storage, open concept, and quality design.

Storage is a must for the 2020/2021 homeowner and even though this kitchen need to feel open to the outdoors I wanted to make sure that storage was not sacrificed. In order to do that you'll see an abundance of lower cabinetry, in addition to the library inspired open pantry!

Modern accents pair with traditional raised panel doors to create the modern European style home that we desire. The range, a La Cornue, adds to the fact that this kitchen isn't like any other. The quality in the appliances chosen and in the finishes display how even with an online design you can accomplish high-end kitchen design, realistically.

The modern homeowner of 2020 going into 2021 desires the open feeling of a modern kitchen paired with traditional aspects. These traditional touches throughout the home bring warm hints of times remembered.

The Reveal!

I brings me great excitement to present to you the kitchen from Christmas Rendered!

You'll see throughout the space that natural elements, light and texture are key elements. This will be apparent throughout the home. Honestly, my design for the home started in the kitchen. Once the finishes for the kitchen was chosen, the rest of the home came together.

I choose Soapstone countertops for their honed finish and natural resistance against stains and burning. The contrast agains the dark counter and light backsplash is a classic look enhanced by the brass accents.

Stay tuned for our #shopthelook this Saturday, to shop all the finishes throughout the Kitchen!
