Topic of the Month | April | Color Palettes | Bedroom Colors

Hello y'all!

So I am sitting here at my dining table while my little 10 month old watches baby tv! Life is moving fast! As a mother, wife, blogger, and graduating student I have a crazy life like most of you. Take today for example: I woke up at 6:30 am, went to my internship, came back here to welcome by beautiful baby into my arms and right this blog. One of the goals I have for this blog moving forward is to make sure the content I am giving you guys is useful. I am so thankful for you guys as the readers taking the time out of your day to read my little blog; the least I can do is give you productive , useful content.

Today, we are going to start a series of blogs that will show you a collection of color palettes that I have put together for YOU! These color palettes are styled to our Simplistic Farmhouse Design style; however, they can work with many other design styles. I hope you enjoy them as much as I enjoyed putting them together.

Each week we will look over 2 palettes. If you have additional palettes that you would like me to personal design for your home contact me.

This week we are looking at Bedroom Colors - the bedroom color palette is designed to be a serene place for you to come to at the end of the day.

This smokey color palette can be used in a variety of different ways. From a designers perspective - I would utilize it this way

For your bedroom, one of my favorite color schemes is to have a blue with dark accents throughout the room. Utilizing the Bracing Blue I would paint all the walls; painting the molding the Extra White. Accenting with color tones of Morning fog and Cyberspace.

Here are the colors mentioned above:

Sherwin Williams,Bracing Blue

Sherwin Williams,Extra White

Sherwin Williams,Morning Fog

Sherwin Williams,Cyberspace

This color palette just rings in spring to me. Same blue as the last color palette; however, I have added a pink hue to the mix. Many are scared of pink.. DON'T BE! If you want more information about including pink into your home check out my blog post on Including Pink in Your Home!

For your bedroom this color palette could just be an easy switch out of accessories or it could be a total change of paint colors. If you are looking to change the paint colors in your bedroom and eyeing this palette I would recommend this time painting your walls Ceiling Bright White - moldings and all. Dye down the starkness of the walls by including the warm tones of the Bracing Blue and Functional Grey throughout the room. Then, accent with Fading Rose.

Here are the colors mentioned above:
