I am Lauren Brantley, CEO/OWNER of Lauren Ashley Design + Home Decor Finds

Lauren's story begins in a small town called Mount Airy, NC. As a child, the town had fewer than 10,000 people, and it's still less than 20,000 people today. It was a cute little town with old-fashioned streets where grandmothers could still be found rocking on porch swings or ironing their clothes. A small town upbringing taught Lauren values and a dreamer's mentality that anything was possible if she set her mind to it. The path to her dreams didn't come easy, as she was diagnosed with epilepsy at the age of seven. Several doctors told her that she would never finish high school, drive, or have children because of her medical condition. However, with perseverance, prayer, and the dedication of her family, Lauren was able to overcome her epilepsy.

After being laid off during a pandemic, Lauren seized an opportunity to use her inherent strength, perseverance, and dedication to turn it into a full-time job, providing a steady income for her family. As Theodore Roosevelt once said, "Nothing in the world is worth having or worth doing unless it means effort, pain, difficulty… I have never in my life envied a human being who led an easy life. I have envied a great many people who led difficult lives and led them well." Lauren is grateful to God for giving her the opportunity to fulfill her dream of helping others achieve the look they've always wanted for their homes.
