DESIGNER INTERVIEW | Giavanna Cambeletta | Intern Graduate at Lauren Ashley Design

having a render makes a realistic picture for them to see a potential end result.

– Giavanna Cambeletta

I have had the pleasure of having Giavanna as an intern for the past few months during the Spring 2022 Semester. She is a graduating student at Liberty University. Giavanna has been a delate to the team with her peaceful nature and natural talent for interior design. I know that she is on her way to doing great things!

Congratulations Giavanna! Let’s learn a little bit more about Giavanna, shall we?

Tell us a little bit more about yourself?

I am very soft-spoken and may not always be the first to place my opinion but I always have creative ideas in my head and when asked to share I will give you the most throughout design.

What did you enjoy most about your time at Lauren Ashley Design LLC?

It is hard to pick one thing that I enjoyed most during my time at Lauren Ashley Design because overall it was such an amazing experience but one thing that was special to me was when we met all together on Fridays. I looked forward to that time together to learn from Lauren and pounce off ideas to everyone.

Did you ever imagine that you could have a career as a rendering artist with an Interior Design Degree?

I did not think that I would have a career as a rendering artist because that was never my strong suit but after working with Lauren, I fell in love with it. I think it is so rewarding as you can see all the amazing work you can complete through all the different phases.

How do you think for our online design clients, rendering benefits their project?

I think rendering is beneficial to online design clients because it is hard to visualize certain things that an interior designer is presenting to you, so having a render makes a realistic picture for them to see a potential end result.

For yourself, was learning how to model and render at a new level beneficial?

Yes, learning how to model and render was very beneficial! It made my portfolio sparkle and show potential employers a skill most designers do not have.

Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

In 10 years I hope to be working for an architecture firm as one of their interior designers where I am in charge of space planning and drafting for each project to come through the firm.

Lastly, how do you feel about the future of design and the metaverse?

I believe the future of design is going to be much more realistic where every interior designer will know how to use Twinmotion or software like that where it produces a design that looks just like a photograph. The metaverse is a little scary to me because I cannot wrap my brain around the concept entirely.

All work featured in this blog post was done in along with the rest of the Lauren Ashley Design team of Spring 2022. Please Visit their interview blog post to learn more about their design journey.
